We have now been going to the NCC for about three months and yesterday we got our first invite to lunch from a fellow Christian family. As a non-Christian you read about strange things happening in Christian circles; Christians socialising and relaxing in each others presence without a bible to hand or bible bashing each other. Well I can confirm, it’s true! With the three children in tow, we headed over to David and Elizabeth’s for lunch (after church of course) and went to a normal house, with normal people and even had a slightly better than normal meal. But surely a Christian family is not normal, wrong; here is a prime example of a great family living a great life in a great area and I hope, thinking life is great.
In fact the only sign of religion that was visible was a copy of the bible in the ‘quiet room’ and without doubt a house and garden filled with the Holy Spirit, and boy did it feel good to be in a like-minded house.
